Marine fauna (Mammals)

At sea there are many species of animals including mammals. In total there are discovered more than 26 species.

There are five groups of marine mammals:

• Pinnipeds. They are carnivorous mammals, usually feeding on fish, molluscs and crustaceans.

• Cetaceans. Are marine mammals with fins rather than legs. They live all their life in the sea. Some species avoid frequenting coasts and others live near them.
• Sirenians .Also known as marinated cows for their vegetarian diets
• Polar bears. Is considered a marine species by its adaptations in the sea. It is a carnivorous animal.
• Marine otter. The otter is the most small mammal that existe, but the more mustelido heavyweigth.
